About BMTE

BMTE lab focuses on problems at the intersection of engineering and biology. In our lab, we bring together students from various disciplines to apply cutting-edge materials research to pressing issues in biomedicine. The mission of our lab is to create grafts that can operate normally after being implanted in the body by controlling cellular responses, regulating the development and integration of diverse tissue types, and preserving their initial functionality.

Student Voices

People here come from a wide variety of backgrounds, so they can share their experiences with you and help you make decisions about where you want to take your study and your career.

Dr Bodhisat Das

Research is dependent on the variety of perspectives that come from having people from various backgrounds. All viewpoints and perspectives are respected in my lab. Working with such a wonderfully diverse set of people has made diversity a top priority on my list of prerequisites for any future jobs I explore.

Mitali Mishra

I sought for an institution that would provide me with an education of the finest caliber. The most competitive curriculum and programs were offered at SMST. The atmosphere I encountered when I visited served as the decisive factor for me. I observed a neighborhood where people cooperated and supported one another.
